This salty needlepoint canvas is in the style of mid-century artist Robert Indiana, whose iconic 'LOVE' design of the late 1960s has been replicated in countless variations. I first stitched this as a pillow commission several years ago--I enlarged the design of a vintage pillow produced by Woolworks, a needlepoint shop in New York (and I reproduce it here with the owner's permission).
