This is six strand, 100% cotton embroidery floss. The fiber is a long staple cotton and double mercerized for a beautiful sheen. Each of the individual strands is a size 25 thread, so that you can use part, or even add to the floss as it comes off the skein to customize the thickness of the thread you are using. Sold in an 8.7 yard skein. DMC Embroidery Floss is colorfast and fade resistant. You can use 6 strands for tent stitch on 14 mesh canvas. For more information on threads, click here .
