This Maxxum -- one of the later ones -- feels more like a Canon Rebel in terms of heft and feel. Like all plastic-bodied 35mm SLRs of this era, it is quite capable and has more sophisticated metering than the older, leatherette-and-chrome class of 35mm SLRs.
